Vinyasa Yoga
An outgrowth of Ashtanga, Vinyasa yoga expands, integrates and juxtaposes postures through sun salutations. Sally’s classes take influence from Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vini Yoga, integrating asana, pranayama and meditation. Using music as a guide, we flow smoothly through challenging and inspiring sequences. Paying close attention to alignment, we work to develop balance, strength, and flexibility opening the door to a stable and grounded body and mind. Although we will practice as a group, emphasis is placed on the individual and modifications are encouraged. Sally’s own yoga practice has been shaped and inspired by her background in dance, pilates and somatic movement and by her yoga teachers Kathryn Beet, Michael Siddal, Ante Pavlovic, Patricia White and Kaustaub Desikachar. She was certified as a yoga instructor through Yogaspace (Toronto) with an advanced certificate in Healing Through Yoga.
