Touch, movement,
hearing, taste, smell and vision form the basis of how we sense, respond to and
organize information about ourselves and about the world. Perception is the
physical, emotional and creative process that interprets the information we
receive through our senses.
These senses are sequentially layered from earliest embryological development. Our senses and perceptions form the basis for stories we tell about ourselves and the world. To create change in physical or mental patterning, we can explore the patterning of our senses and how we form perception based on learned experience. To foster creative process we can fully engage the sense organs, sourcing movement and meaning in new ways.
This workshop
explores the layering of the senses through experiential anatomy, movement,
touch, voice and mind. We investigate how the senses receive, respond to,
organize and pattern information. Participants are guided in how to initiate
movement from the sense organs to create a rich tapestry of moving story in a
creative process. Join us for an embodied journey of the senses and
perceptions. Move into self and into the world from a dynamic, engaged place.
