Sally Morgan began practicing Contact Improvisation in the mid 1990’s while a student at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre. She continued to build her contact skills through several workshops and classes and truly fell in love with the dance form while taking part in the EDAM summer intensive in Vancouver. Following her experience at EDAM Sally spent a few years studying contact more intensively in Canada, the USA and Europe, finding inspiration and mentorship in dance artist and contact legend Nancy Stark Smith.
Morgan’s fluid yet dynamic teaching style as well as her development as a contact dancer/teacher has been shaped and influenced by all of her contact teachers including: Nancy Stark Smith, Martin Keogh, Simone Forti, Scott Wells, Andrew Harwood, Peter Bingham, The BodyCartography Project (Olive Bierenga/Otto Ramstad), Nina Martin, KJ Holmes and Allen and Karen Kaeja.
Sally has been teaching Contact Improvisation since 2001.
